Five drug suspects were arrested by the police in series of buy bust operations on December 21 and 22 in Negros Occidental, also yielding about P231,340 worth of suspected shabu.
Two of five drug suspects were apprehended by the police during a buy bust operation conducted by the Police Station 5 in Hacienda Rosario, Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City.
The arrest of two drug personalities on Dec. 22, identified through their aliases Bubot and Christian, both categorized by the police as Street Level Individual drug personalities, yielded about 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P102,000.
Another 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of 102,000 was also seized by the police from a 40-year-old drug suspect in another buy bust operation in Brgy. E Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
A buy bust operation at Purok Punao in Brgy. Zone 3, Talisay City, also led to the arrest of a jobless 40-year-old suspect, resulting in the confiscation of 5.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P37,400, and a Honda Click motorcycle.
The apprehension of a 26-year-old laborer at Sitio Cali in Brgy. 1 poblacion, Ilog, also led to the confiscation of 0.3 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P2,094 and P500 in marked money, police reported.*
