In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, lauded the coordinated anti-drug campaign of various PNP units in the region, and for their commitment and hard work that led to the accomplishments.
“The statistics show your conviction, patience and eagerness to cleanse the community from the menace of illegal drugs,” Wanky said.
Despite these accomplishments we will not cease, instead we will engage the community more, the local government units and the other stakeholders to intensify and strengthen our campaign, he added.
“I urge everyone to take part in our effort to put an end to the existing problem of illegal drugs by reporting those who are involved and be a guardian of your family and of your community,” the regional police director further said.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 logged the highest value of confiscated drugs at P107,444, 697.*
