Authorities seized an estimated P272,000 worth of suspected shabu following a buy-bust operation in Barangay 6, Bacolod City, early Saturday, April 11.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the sting operation at approximately 3:23 a.m. in Purok Pilit 2, resulting in the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect identified by the alias ‘Batok.’
According to the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the suspect is classified as a Street-Level Individual and was not previously listed in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council records.
Recovered from the scene were 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 40 grams of suspected shabu, along with P1,000 in marked money.
The suspect was brought to Police Station 2 for documentation and remains in custody.
BCPO Officer-in-Charge PCol. Eugene Rebadomia said the operation is part of the city’s continued efforts to intensify anti-illegal drug operations.
The police also urged the public to maintain vigilance and cooperate with law enforcement in addressing the local drug trade.*
