More than P2 million worth of suspected shabu were seized from 47 arrested drug personalities in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office last month.

PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO Public Information Officer, in a statement yesterday said the confiscated 316.25 grams of suspected shabu has a market value of P2,150,500.

In the same period, 67 fugitives were arrested, while eight firearms and one explosive were surrendered to BCPO, Gabana added.

He also reported that the campaign of BCPO against illegal gambling yielded 14 suspects, with P4.132 cash bets recovered.

PCol. Joseph Thomas Martir, BCPO director, lauded the operating units and its personnel for a job well done and for their continuous effort thru police-initiated operations to lessen criminality.

Martir also vowed to continue to give the Bacolodnons a safe place to live.

As the BCPO embraces the local and national elections, he encouraged the commitment of everyone to make the community peaceful by doing their own share in the maintenance of peace and order.*
