Police operatives conducted another successful anti-drug operation on November 1 at Purok Kabuhi, Barangay 10, Bacolod City, leading to the confiscation of about P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu from two arrested drug suspects.
In a joint operation of the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit, led by PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, and Bacolod Maritime Police Station, the apprehension of the two suspects yielded an estimated half kilo of suspected shabu, valued at P3,400,000.
The two suspects, identified only as alias John and alias Ellan, are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
Another buy bust operation by the Police Station 4 operatives on Nov. 2, led to the arrest of a certain Jennifer at Purok Hervias 3 in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, and the confiscation of 12 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P81,600.
From October 21 to 27, the BCPO has confiscated 1,134.6 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P7.7 million, from nine arrested drug suspects.
On the other hand, the arrest of 62-year-old man, known as Apol, on Nov. 1 in Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid, Negros Occidental, led to the confiscation of about five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000.
Two other drug suspects were arrested by the police in Toboso and Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, which yielded about three grams of suspected shabu and a .38 caliber revolver with three ammunition.*
