Around P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during an early morning buy-bust operation in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, yesterday.
The joint operation, led by the PDEA RO-NIR Regional Special Enforcement Team and Bacolod Police Station 2, resulted in the recovery of approximately 500 grams of the illegal substance packed in five knot-tied plastic sachets.
Authorities identified the arrested suspect as 23-year-old Edgie Vargas, resident of Purok Boulevard, Brgy. 14, Bacolod City.
The alleged high-value target was caught after transacting with an undercover agent using boodle money.
Operatives also confiscated a black iPhone 11 and a Suzuki skydrive motorcycle used by the suspect.
The suspect is now facing criminal charges for the sale of dangerous drugs under Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165.*
