The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency yesterday destroyed P30 million worth of illegal drugs, which had been seized in Negros Occidental.
The destroyed illegal drugs, burned at the Acropolis Gardens in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City, was composed of 4.3 kilograms of shabu and 1.3 kg of dried marijuana.
The illegal drugs formed part of the evidence of drug cases currently pending before the courts in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, which ordered their destruction.
Witnessing the destruction of the dangerous drugs were PDEA 6 assistant regional director Marjorie Ballesteros, PCol. Noel Aliño, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, among other police and PDEA officials.*
