Policemen have seized about P310,000 worth of suspected shabu from six arrested drug suspects in separate buy bust operations on November 8 and 9, in highly urbanized Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of a certain Eric during a buy bust operation on Saturday in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P136,000.
PMaj. Elmer Bonilla, Police Station 4 chief, in an interview with Aksyon Radyo, disclosed that the 45-year-old drug suspect had been under surveillance for two weeks, prior to his arrest.
He was categorized by the police as a Street Level Individual drug personality.
Another buy bust operation at Purok 2, in Barangay Bi-ao, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, led the confiscation of three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400 from the arrest of a 29-year-old drug suspect, who is a laborer.
Another five grams of suspected shabu, valued at P34,000, was confiscated by the police from a suspected drug peddler, whose identity was withheld by the police, at Purok Ilak in Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid, on Nov. 9.
Seven more sachets of suspected shabu were recovered by the police from a 35-year-old woman suspect at Carmona Street in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, while another seven sachets of suspected shabu were seized by the police from another drug suspect at Purok Maki-Angayon, Barangay Alimango, Escalante City, all in Negros Occidental.
A 30-year-old laborer is now locked up in jail after his arrest on Nov. 8 at Hacienda Astro, Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, which yielded an estimated 17 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P115,600.*
