Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of checks, worth P4.5 million, for various development projects of the 15 barangays in the province.
Board members Victor Javellana (Fourth District), and Jeffrey Tubola and Miguel Alonso (Sixth District), and Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz joined the governor at the ceremonial distribution of checks to the barangays, held at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City Monday.
The beneficiaries are barangays Cabahug in Cadiz City, Katilingban, Talisay City, Malingin and Napoles in Bago City, Ayungon, Balabag, San Miguel, Haguimit, I-Poblacion, and Yubo, all of La Carlota City, I–Poblacion and Miranda in Pontevedra, Culo in Pulupandan, Inapoy in Kabankalan City, and Linaon, Cauayan, a press release from the Capitol said.
The projects include the construction of street lights, purchase of water pipes, construction of riprap, renovation of multi-purpose hall, construction of tanod outpost, rehabilitation of water system, repair of covered court, rehabilitation of drainage canals, and purchase of office equipment, among others.
The barangay captains and authorized representatives, who received the checks, thanked the provincial officials for helping them realize their projects.*
