A buy-bust operation conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Wednesday, led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of an estimated P408,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) operatives apprehended the suspects at approximately 1:37 a.m. in Purok Herbabuena, Barangay. Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
Authorities identified the arrested individuals as alias ‘Renato’, a resident of the barangay, and alias “Albert”, a resident of Purok 9, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental. Both are single and unemployed.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu.
The BCPO said the suspects will be facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), and 26 (conspiracy).*
