A series of buy bust operations on Thursday in Negros Occidental led to the arrest of three drug suspects and the recovery of an estimated P419,000 worth of suspected shabu, according to the police.
Operatives of the Police Station 5 Drug Enforcement Team seized about 50 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P340,000, from an arrested drug peddler they identified only as alias Jojo Jembo, in Purok Rosas, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
Another buy bust operation of the police in Brgy. San Juan, Pontevedra, Negro Occidental, led to the seizure about 10 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P68,000, marked money of P500 and illegal drugs paraphernalia.
The arrested drug suspect, a-39 year-old laborer, is now detained at the Pontevedra police custodial facility. While his identity was withheld by the police, the suspect is reportedly a resident of Sitio Alo, Brgy. Enclaro, Binalbagan.
The apprehension of a 23-year-old jobless resident of Brgy. San Jose, Toboso, for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, also yielded 1.62 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P11,600.
The suspected drug peddler was arrested by the police during a buy bust operation in Sitio Stop Aguinaldo, Brgy. San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental.*
