P42K shabu seized in Brgy. Banago

A street-level drug personality was arrested with P42,840 worth of shabu during a late-night buy-bust operation in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, on Wednesday, February 25.

The suspect, identified by police only as alias Toto, 42, a resident of the barangay, was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs at approximately 10:42 p.m. in Purok Riverside.

The operation was carried out by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Station 3.

Authorities confiscated several items from the suspect’s immediate possession, including 6.3 grams of suspected shabu.

Also recovered from the scene were the marked buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.

The BCPO confirmed that ‘Toto’ is currently detained at the Police Station 3 custodial facility and is awaiting charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, specifically Section 5 for the sale of illegal drugs and Section 11 for illegal possession.
