P476K shabu seized in Bacolod

Policemen arrested a suspected drug personality on Wednesday, during a buy bust operation at Country Homes Subdivision in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, leading to the confiscation of P476,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Nabbed by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit was Remwil Sellado, alias Hapon, classified by the police as a High Value Individual drug personality.

An estimated 70 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P476,000, was seized by the police from his possession.

The street price of shabu is currently at around P10,000 per gram, according to the Bacolod City Police Office.

Another drug suspect was nabbed by the police on May 5 at Fermont Village in Brgy. VII in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, which led to the confiscation of 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000.

The arrest of three other drug suspects, with aliases of Kapid, Aldo, and Onatz in the cities of Escalante and Victorias, yielded 1.2 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P8,636.

The implementation of a search warrant at the residence of alias Watary, a 42-year-old tattoo artist, at Villa Barbas 2 in Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz City, led to his arrest and the confiscation of a caliber .45 pistol with 17 ammunition, a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition, and three sachets of suspected shabu with its paraphernalia, according to the police.

The six apprehended suspects are now locked up in jail.*
