P49M Hinobaan abattoir approved

BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

The proposed construction of P49.67 million abattoir in Hinobaan, Negros Occidental, to be funded by the World Bank, has been approved by the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project Support Office-Visayas Cluster.

DA regional director Remelyn Recoter, in her letter to Engr. Moises Mana-ay, PDRP-RPCO 6 Deputy Project Director, informed him that the feasibility study with safeguards compliance, Detailed Engineering Design (DED), Program of Works and Bidding Documents for the subproject, with an estimated cost of P49,677,000 have been found to be in order.

Recoter said there are no objections for the conduct of procurement of works.

She added that Hinobaan may now proceed with the publication of the invitation to bid in the newspaper of national circulation and posting on the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System.

As soon as the bid process and evaluation is completed, they have to secure first the No Objection to Award and Certificate of Availability of Funds before issuing the Notice of Award to the lowest bidder.*
