The series of antidrug operations of the police in Western Visayas, including Negros Occidental, yielded P5.4 million in shabu on October 12, which also resulted in the arrest of 10 drug suspects.
Among the apprehended suspects, six were arrested in Negros Occidental, yielding about P101,420 worth of illegal drugs.
The police also seized 770 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P5.1 million, from two arrested violators in Iloilo City, and Calinog town in Iloilo province.
Another arrested drug suspect in Aklan also yielded P105,000 worth of suspected shabu, a report from the Police Regional Office 6 said.
In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, regional police director of Western Visayas, congratulated concerned police units for a job well done in the continuing antidrug campaign.*
