Policemen seized on Tuesday an estimated P5.4 million worth of suspected shabu from three suspects, during a buy bust operation in Barangay 2, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
The arrest of the three suspects, including a 48-year-old man and his 24-year-old son, and a 37-year-old person, whose identities were withheld by the police, yielded 800 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P5,440,000, a weighing scale, and P500 in marked money.
Another buy bust operation on December 10 at Purok Kawayanan in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, led to the arrest of two more drug suspects, including a woman, which resulted in the confiscation of an estimated 35 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P238,000.
Also recovered by the police from the two suspects were a Llama 9mm pistol with a magazine containing seven ammunition, marked money of P500, a digital weighing scale, P400 in cash, and assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia.
Three other drug suspects were also arrested in separate buy bust operations in the cities of Sagay and Cadiz, as well as Cauayan in Negros Occidental, which yielded 5.2 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P35,734.
All of the arrested suspects are now locked up in jail, and facing charges for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
