Employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental will receive additional incentives of up to P50,000.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson stated in an interview that the supplementary bonuses include the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive, valued at P30,000, and the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), which can amount to P20,000.
Lacson assured that the CNA will be distributed to employees before the end of the year. However, the SRI remains on standby as the province awaits guidelines from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to determine eligibility.
In addition to these incentives, the province began distributing the 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) last month. Qualified employees received a bonus equivalent to 50 percent of their monthly salary. Moreover, cash gift incentives worth P5,000 have been rolled out since November.
“As of now, many employees have already received their PBB and cash gifts,” Lacson said, noting that the distribution process is still ongoing.
According to provincial guidelines, only regular and casual employees are eligible for these additional benefits.
Lacson emphasized that the release of the bonuses depends on the departments’ ability to complete the necessary documentation in compliance with the guidelines.*
