The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized approximately one kilogram of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million during a buy-bust operation at Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 24, Bacolod City, on May 16.
Three individuals, identified by authorities as aliases ‘Rolly,’ 23, ‘Gabrielle,’ 23, and ‘Alex,’ 19, all residents of Brgy. 4, Bacolod City, were arrested during the enforcement action.
The joint operation, conducted by the PDEA Negros Island Region, resulted in the recovery of one pack of teabag containing the illegal drugs.
The PDEA also confiscated the buy-bust money, three cellular phones, and a red Toyota Vios at the scene.
The suspects are currently facing charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
