Six kilograms of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P823,000, was recovered by the police on Tuesday in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, after it was surrendered by one of three drug suspects arrested during a recent buy bust operation in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.
Aside from the dried marijuana leaves, the authorities, composed of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the La Carlota City police, also recovered 23 cartridges of liquid marijuana used as a vape juice.
On Tuesday, the Drug Enforcement Unit of BCPO recovered P1.68 million worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves in two separate buy bust operations on May 26 and 27, respectively, in Brgys. 2 and Tangub, Bacolod City, which led to the apprehension of four drug suspects.
P/Lt.Col. Antonio Benitez, BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit chief, said the confiscated dried marijuana leaves and liquid marijuana came from Luzon, transported by a courier.
Another drug suspect identified only as alias Zeddie, 20, was arrested by the police in a buy bust operation on May 27 at Purok Eucalyptos, Barangay Tabugon in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
His arrest also yielded about 35 grams of suspected shabu valued at P238,000, according to the police.
The apprehension of alias Jimboy , 39, at Purok Violetas in Barangay Balingasag, Bago City, also led to the confiscation of one gram of suspected shabu valued at P6,800.*
