The series of antidrug operations by the police on October 22 and 23 in Negros Occidental, led to the arrest of four drug suspects and the recovery of an estimated P95,200 worth of suspected shabu, along with a firearm with ammunition.
A buy bust operation on Monday in Brgy. Santo Niño, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental, yielded an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000, and the recovery of a .38 caliber revolver with two live ammunition, according to the police.
The arrested 35-year-old suspected drug peddler, whose identity was withheld by the EB Magalona police, is now detained at the police station custodial facility.
Two other drug suspects, whose identities were also withheld by the police, were arrested on Sunday in Brgy. 5, Silay City.
The apprehension of two drug suspects also yielded about eight grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P54,400 and marked money of P2,800, according to a report of the Silay City police.
Another buy bust operation in Brgy. 13, Victorias City, resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old suspected drug pusher and the recovery of an estimated one gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,800.*
