The construction of the new Capitol Provincial Administration Center at Gatuslao-Calamba Streets in Bacolod City, is targeted for completion within three years, disclosed Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa yesterday.
Mapa said the excavation for the foundation of new PAC, with a budget of almost P900 million, is currently ongoing.
The delay in the construction of the 7-storey PAC, particularly in laying down the foundation, was attributed to the weather.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson earlier gave the green light for the contractor, Dynamic Builders, to proceed with the construction of PAC at its original site, after its proposed transfer to a Capitol property in Talisay City did not push through.
The contractor was already paid the usual 15 percent advance payment for its mobilization fund.*
