The Rotary Club of Bacolod Marapara continued its “adopt a barangay” program with a recent medical mission to Barangay Pahanocoy in Bacolod City.
The club donated supplies of sodium ascorbate with zinc plus vitamin D3 supplements to local TB patients. These were handed over by Marapara Rotaractors, headed by its president, Rhayn Abayon, and Pahanocoy barangay captain, Bebing Noble. They also gave the parents of malnourished children bottles of multivitamin syrup, donated by Base Line Pharma Corp.
After the medical mission, it was time to treat the barangay children to an afternoon of food, fun and games with prizes of chocolates and school supplies organized by Chattea Cajucson, a Miss Bacolod MassKara candidate and a Rotaractor. The children were also shown the correct way to wash their hands.*
