A resolution congratulating and commending the Palarong Pambansa medalists of 2023, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Wednesday.
The resolution authored by Councilor Jason Isidro Villarosa, chair of the SP Committee on Youth, SK Affairs, and Sports Development, said it has since been four years that the Palarong Pambansa was forced to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Education sought it best to resume the country’s largest youth sporting event this year, it said.
The resolution said a number of athletes, all residents of Bacolod City, proudly brought home 55 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze medals.*
