Bacolod based visual artist Arnel Villaceran presented a collection of his personally chosen works from 2014 to 2024 in a solo exhibition at the Museo De La Salle, which opened yesterday and will run until January 31.
Titled “Parada”, the exhibit showcases his favorite artworks which include those that have already been exhibited in various galleries. These pieces show why the artist continues to move forward with his passion, share his world, and bring ideas to life. Creating art is a source of happiness and an integral part of his daily life.
The collection includes works used in festival posters, films, and even pieces inspired by poetry written by his twin brother, Yel.

Villaceran, a native of Bantayan, Cebu, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in Advertising Arts, from La Consolacion College Bacolod. In 2018, he received the Perfecto E. Marzoña Award as part of the BFA-Advertising Arts graduating batch. He has participated in various group exhibitions and held his first solo exhibition at Gallerie G in 2023, and the second at the Art Cove of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod.
He is also a licensed professional teacher and currently works as a layout artist and curatorial staff at The Negros Museum.*
