Mayor Marvin Malacon turned over a new Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office on October 9.
Malacon earlier received the PTV from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). He turned it over to MDRRMO head Mary Angeline Gustilo.
Fr. Ernie Larida, parish priest of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, led the blessing of the vehicle.
Currently, aside from the PTV, the MDRRMO has two rescue vehicles, while the Municipal Health Office has two ambulances. Unlike ambulances, PTVs do not require complex medical equipment or personnel trained in emergency medical services.
Also at the ceremony were Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, Sangguniang Bayan Members Wyndel Depasucat, Joey Pugales, and Isidro Gomed, Sto. Nino Punong Barangay Romulo Villanueva Jr., and Poblacion 3 Kagawad Ronel Mogul.
Joining them were mayor’s private secretary Joel Antonio, municipal chief of police Major Eric Doronila, and MDRRMO staff.*
