PCCI names Bacolod finalist for Most Business Friendly LGU

The highly urbanized city of Bacolod was adjudged by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry as one of the top 5 finalists for the 2024 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards (City Level 1B).

City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea received the recognition on Monday on behalf of the Bacolod City government, at Mckinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City.

Other finalists are the cities of Iloilo, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, and Mandaue in Cebu,

Among 17 highly urbanized cities (HUCs) outside the National Capital Region, 11 participated in the PCCI’s Search for the Most Business-Friendly LGU.

Gelvolea said the winner among the top five highly urbanized cities will be announced in the middle of next month.*
