The Philippine Coast Guard-Negros Occidental has a new station commander in the person of Cmdr. Jose Luviz Mercurio.
Mercurio replaced Capt. Ludovico Librilla, who is now the deputy district commander of PCG-Western Visayas, effective February 5.
Prior to his present assignment, Mercurio was previously the PCG station commander of Capiz, Iloilo, and Aklan.
Mercurio and Librilla are graduates of the Coast Guard Officer Course Class 02-2001.*
