PDEA dismantles Bacolod City drug den

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency yesterday dismantled a suspected drug den at Purok Lubi in Brgy. 3, Bacolod City, following the arrest of its maintainer and two drug suspects.

Nabbed by PDEA Negros Occidental personnel during a buy bust operation were Ernie Catahay, alias Rama, who was tagged as the drug den maintainer, Michael and Birgo Murillo.

The buy bust operation also resulted in the confiscation of an estimated 12 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P81,600 and its assorted paraphernalia.

Two other drug suspects were arrested by the police on July 11 at Purok 2, Brgy. Nayon in San Enrique, Negros Occidental.

Apprehended were Resby de Pedro, alias Em, 44, of the place and Rhodora Diwatin, 41, of Brgy. 19A, Victorias City,

A gram of suspected shabu with a market value of P6,800, assorted drug paraphernalia, two pawnshop receipts and three cellular phones were recovered by the police from the arrested drug suspects.

On the other hand, the implementation of a search warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez on July10 at Purok Katilingban, in Brgy. San Isidro, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, also led to the apprehension of Edwin Rodrigazo.

It resulted in the confiscation of a .45 caliber pistol with three magazines, 62 .45 caliber ammunition, a gun silencer and a homemade .38 caliber revolver, police said.*
