The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6 reported Tuesday that it has launched “E-Dalaw” or Electronic Dalaw Program, which is a safe way for detainees to connect with their family members.
“With the ongoing precautionary measures which temporarily suspend face to face visitation from relatives, PDEA-6 is now utilizing E-Dalaw,” the PDEA-6 said.
The launching was held at the PDEA-6 custodial facility in Iloilo City, Tuesday.
“E-Dalaw” allows arrested personalities to communicate with their families online through video calling and other similar platforms, as part of the coronavirus disease restrictions and protocols, the report added.
Meanwhile, PDEA-6 paid tribute to their fallen comrades during a wreath laying ceremony yesterday, as part of the 18th anniversary of the agency.
The symbolic rite was in honor of PDEA agents, who sacrificed their lives in the country’s fight against illegal drugs.*PDEA-6 photo
