Anti-drug operatives successfully dismantled a drug den and arrested five high-value targets in a joint buy-bust operation at Barangay 12 in Bacolod City on March 3.
The operation was spearheaded by the PDEA RO-NIR Regional Special Enforcement Team, alongside units from the PNP Drug Enforcement Group and the Bacolod City Police Office.
Authorities identified the arrested suspects given the aliases ‘Sadam,’ 34; ‘Mark,’ 43; ‘Cris,’ 35; ‘Ryan,’ 44; and ‘Ariel,’ 52.
During the raid, law enforcement confiscated nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total estimated weight of approximately 13 grams.
Also recovered was the buy-bust money, four improvised glass tooters, and various drug paraphernalia.
The arrested individuals are now facing criminal charges for multiple violations of Republic Act No. 9165, specifically for the sale and possession of drugs and the maintenance of a drug den.*
