An estimated P374,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Negros Occidental Provincial Office during a buy-bust in Barangay Codcod, San Carlos City, on February 19.
The drug bust resulted in the arrest of 46-year-old ‘Dante,’ classified as a High-Value Target, and 55-year-old ‘Arsing,’ who had been previously reported through the “Isumbong Mo sa PDEA” hotline.
Confiscated during the raid were 16 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 55 grams.
The operation was in coordination with the PNP Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and San Carlos City Police.
The suspects are currently in custody and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, specifically Section 5, in relation to Section 26, and Section 11.*
