PDRRMO section head in hot water for alleged unprofessional behavior

• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A show cause order has been issued against a section head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), for alleged unprofessional behavior.

A show cause order dated March 18, issued by Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, alleges that the PDRRMO section head used offensive and inappropriate language in a group chat involving PDRRMO personnel.

She was also accused of making statements that cast doubt on her colleagues’ skills and qualifications, while challenging the Provincial Government’s authority in recruiting and appointing PDRRMO personnel.

In the group chat, she allegedly encouraged PDRRMO personnel to resign from the service, thereby promoting disruption within the office and undermining stability of its operations, the show cause order further stated.

Her actuations, if established, constitute insubordination and reflect a willful disregard of established authority, tending to undermine workplace harmony, erode respect among personnel, and impair the efficient delivery of public service, Diaz said.

The PDRRMO section head was given a five-day deadline to submit a written explanation justifying why no criminal, civil, or administrative charges should not be pursued against her based on the complaints filed.*
