Mayor Miguel Antonio Peña feels elated over the endorsement of the Provincial Development Council on the Iloilo Guimaras Negros bridge using Pulupandan as entry and exit points in the province.
Pena said he is grateful for the support and endorsement of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, Fourth District Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer, PDC, National Economic Development Authority and the Department of Public Works and Highways NEDA, and DPWH and other government agencies involved in the project.
This project will not only benefit the people of Pulupandan, but the entire Negros Occidental, the mayor said.
According to NEDA and DPWH study, the Panay-Guimaras bridge will have a sea-crossing bridge length of 4.97 kilometers, while the Guimaras-Negros bridge has 13.11 kilometers of sea-crossing bridge length.*
