Peña reelected LMP-NegOcc president

Pulupandan Mayor Miguel Peña was reelected yesterday as president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippine (LMP) – Negros Occidental chapter.

The newly elected LMP – Negros Occidental chapter officials immediately took their oath office before Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Toboso Mayor Richard Jaojoco was elected as vice president, with Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara as the secretary general.

Other elected officers were Pontevedra Mayor Jose Maria Alonso as treasurer, Hinobaan Mayor Daph Anthony Reliquias – auditor, and Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas as public information officer.

The Board of Directors are composed of Don Salvador Benedicto Mayor Nehemiah dela Cruz (1st district, Negros Occidental), Manapla Mayor Mikaela Escalante (2nd district), E.B. Magalona Mayor Matthew Louis Malacon (3rd district), San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara (4th district), La Castellana Mayor Añejo Nicor (5th district), and Candoni Mayor Ray Ruiz (6th district).

Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. was earlier elected as the president of the Negros Occidental Association of Chief Executives (ACE).

Pulupandan Vice Mayor Anthony Gerard Suatengco was also reelected president of the Vice Mayor League of the Philippines – Negros Occidental chapter.*
