MORE THAN JUST HOOPS
Adding a special touch to the opening were family-centered mini-events. Player moms thrilled the crowd in a shooting contest, winning Perfectskin products and merchandise, while player dads took part in a three-point shootout, competing for prizes from Liam Apparel and Perfectskin. Mommies cheering from the benches didn’t go home empty-handed either—they were gifted Perfectskin product as a token of appreciation for their support.
The first official game was for 12U, which saw LJS take home the opening win with a score of 56-41 against Perfectskin. Rising star Zia Oñate was named Player of the Game after racking up 19 points, 4 assists, and 7 rebounds, truly embodying the quote: “Women in men’s field”.
The second matchup was in the 10U division, where JRS dominated Sharks Talisay, clinching a solid victory at 50-32. Standout performer Liam Ureta earned Player of the Game honors with a 20 point, 2 assist, and 8 rebound performance.
Both players of the game received gift packs including Perfectskin products, Perfectskin merchandise, and apparel from Liam.
As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on these promising young athletes, with more exciting games, prizes, and community-building moments to come.
