Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang has recommended the creation of a Transition Team to start working in the PHO by April, ahead of his mandatory retirement from government service which takes effect June 9 this year.
Tumimbang, in his letter to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, disclosed that the Transition Team will be oriented of the different programs of PHO, which has many concerns that needs to be tackled, such as the implementation of Universal Health Care.
While he is starting to process his retirement papers, Tumimbang said he will still be available anytime, if his assistance is needed.
He added that he is looking forward to working with the Transition Team, on the continuous delivery of health care, and for the good of public service.*
