Mayor Javi Benitez along with Councilors Virginia Adorio and Nity Sta. Ana launched a pilot Deaf Kiosk on October 17, at the Victorias City Resort.

The Deaf Kiosk, a livelihood project by the deaf, provides a hub for the community to converge and find each other not only for the Victoriahanon deaf, but also those coming from different parts of the country and the world.

This is the melting pot of food products and services by the deaf that will showcase their talents and skills that make them thrive. The deaf communicate in Sign language, written communication and local gestures that they can easily adapt and make the Deaf Kiosk a convergent place for all.

This pilot project is aimed to be replicated in every town and city to bring out the best food and services by signing hands.

The pilot Deaf Kiosk is owned and managed by the Victorias City Deaf Association (VCDA) to empower the deaf to be positive contributors in the society and will have its soft opening on October 24, 2022. This project is supported by the Federation of PWD and CSWD offices of the city.*
