The City Sports Office through San Carlos City United Volleyball Players Association Inc. (SCUPVA) began the Pintaflores Park Volleyball Festival 4-Aside yesterday morning, October 29, at the City Sports Park.
At least 51 participating teams coming from the different schools in the city joined the tournament which had 4 players per team.
SCUPVA President Virgilio Noel Reantuco Jr. said the 4-aside volleyball set up was formed during their evaluation of the training program to help beginners to develop and showcase their skills in volleyball.
The tournament consists of U10, U12 and U17, boys and girls categories.
Winning teams for U12 and U17 categories will receive cash prizes of P3,000 for the champion, P2,000 for the 1st runner-up, and P1,000 for the 2nd runner-up, plus trophies and medals, while the U10 category will receive cash and medals only.
