PLt. Col. Eduardo Corpuz, police chief of Victorias City, Negros Occidental, was among those honored by the Police Regional Office 6, while marking the 25th Police Community Relations(PCR) Month on July 30 at Camp Martin Delgado, Iloilo City.
Corpuz, the lone awardee from Negros Occidental, was adjudged as the outstanding PCR Senior Police Commissioned Officer of the year, Col. Gilbert Gorero, PRO 6 spokesman, said.
Other awardees were Aklan Police Provincial Office, Iloilo City Police Office, San Jose Municipal Police Station, P/Capt. Peter John Pisuena, Police Executive Master Sergeant Donna Asmod and Non-Uniformed Personnel Rennie Baticos.
Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor, who was the guest of honor and speaker during the activity, lauded the PRO 6 got its efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic, including the prompt execution and strict implementation of Inter Agency Task Force protocols and guidelines, local ordinances like curfew, health standards for new normal and keeping Western Visayas peaceful and orderly.*
