The City Inter-Agency Task Force said a quarantine facility is now ready for the exclusive use of active, auxiliary and non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police based in Dumaguete City.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and City Health Officer, Dr. Maria Sarah Talla, made sure that beds, utilities, and personal hygiene kits are prepared for city police officers and personnel who might have been exposed to a suspected COVID patient or the newly-arrived personnel deployed to the city.
Both the City IATF-EID and the PNP will provide the meals, health workers, and supplies for the concerned personnel, who will be considered as persons under monitoring and shall be quarantined for 14 days as part of the mandatory health protocol.
City chief of police, Lt. Col. Mark Gifter Sucalit, and Remollo also thanked City Schools Division Supt. Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde and Dumaguete City High School principal Alden Rabina for allowing the use of a school building as quarantine facility for the police.*
