After a successful pre-season campaign of the Gardenville United FC Inc. women’s team in the recently concluded football-for-a-cause held at Bacolod City National High School football field on August 14, won against the host team via a 3-0 championship penalty shootout, the Club will be hosting the 1st Steamboat Football Cup.
To be held on September 17-18 at The Upper East open ground, the tournament will be held simultaneously with The Governor’s Cup that will be at the Bacolod City National High School, bringing more football development opportunities to grassroots and Visayan Football Clubs.
This will also marinate the sports afficionados for the coming “Balik Yuhom” themed 1st Mayor Albee Football Cup in October Masskara Celebration with 3 identified venues. As the online blogger, Luis Buenaflor Jr. said, “Bacolod City is Football Country” of the Philippines.*
