The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR) marked its first anniversary with a report on the results of its anti-illegal drug operations conducted from March 27, last year to March 20, this year.
During the initial year of activation, authorities confiscated 44,997.57 grams of shabu valued at P305,983,476 in its 2,281 operations that led to the arrest of 2,708 drug suspects.
The regional office also recovered 12,993.01 grams of marijuana with an estimated value of P1,559,161.
The PRO-NIR also apprehended a total of 3,841 wanted persons, including 693 most wanted persons and 3,148 other wanted persons.
“These remarkable accomplishments are a testament to the collective vigilance and steadfast commitment of our men and women in uniform. Moving forward, we remain resolute in our mission to protect the people, strengthen public safety, and sustain peace and order across the region. One year, One Mission, One Secure Negros Island Region,” said PRO-NIR Regional Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay.
In a statement, the regional police reaffirmed its commitment to law enforcement and public service as it marked its first year of operations.
