The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) honored Antonnette Garcia of the Sugarbowl Tenpin Association Inc. Youth (STAI-YOUTH) as one of the distinguished recipients of the All-Women Sports Awards 2025.
The prestigious event celebrated women in sports who have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and significant contributions in their respective fields.
Garcia’s recognition highlights her outstanding achievements in tenpin bowling when she won the STORM Under 22 tournament in Malaysia as champion in the Girls Graded Championship, a first for a Negrense and Bacolodnon bowler. Her feat served as inspiration for young athletes in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
The awarding ceremony took place on March 15, at 2 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Century Park Hotel, in Malate, Manila. The event brought together notable athletes and sports executives such as PSC Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo and PSC Chairman Richard “Dickie” Bachmann in a celebration of excellence and empowerment in sports.
Antonnette’s accomplishment not only showcases her talent but also reinforces the growing influence of women in Philippine sports, encouraging the next generation of bowlers to strive for greatness.*
