The Bacolod City Public Plaza is set to come alive this week as three of the most anticipated events of the MassKara Festival 2025 take center stage, promising a grand celebration of music, dance, and creativity.
These include the SingKara: The Voice of Bacolod Grand Finals, MassKarambola, and MassKareppin “Rekta sa Kalye”—each highlighting the unique talent and spirit of Bacolodnons.
The search for Bacolod’s next singing champion will culminate on October 17 with the SingKara Grand Finals, featuring fifteen finalists who have emerged victorious from three elimination rounds.
The finalists are Reyhmille Rose Pornete, Rocelle Jeanne Solquillo, Carl Malone Montecido, Marvin Jalea, Allen Sarabia, Chris July Bawiin, Hannah Grace Espadon, RL Denis Valientes, Prezan Dioso, Reynaldo Belo III, Ma. Faye Gervacio, James Norico, Marjanrey Laguisma, Michael “Milky” Esporzado, and Rolly Beloria.
Each of these performers represents the resilience, artistry, and deep love for music that define Bacolod’s community spirit.
Also happening on October 16 is MassKarambola, a vibrant and crowd-favorite event presented by the LGBTQ Federations of Bacolod.
This colorful showcase celebrates diversity, self-expression, and talent through live impersonations of international icons brought to life by local barangay performers.
The lineup features Jane Hard as Tyla, Carl D Bee as Mariah Carey, Vivacious Victoria as Nicki Minaj, Totep as Miley Cyrus, Scarlet G. as Lady Gaga, Jhaiya as Shakira, Xity Tioh as Christina Aguilera, Chor Villa as Rihanna, Kelly Spirit as Katy Perry, Sissy Yani as Britney Spears, Skylar as Janet Jackson, Sandy as Beyoncé, Purita as Jennifer Lopez, and Lala Lampil as Madonna.
The event stands as a testament to Bacolod’s inclusivity and its celebration of individuality under the festival’s dazzling lights.
The streets will heat up on October 13 for the final round of MassKareppin “Rekta sa Kalye”, where the city’s best barangay dance crews will battle for the top spot.
The final 10 competitors are Polyclass, Lock & Counter, Krispy Kream, DVAS, LCDC, Obsequious Negros, Yuri’s Freestylerz, JBDC, Buklod, and Estefania Dance Community.
More than just a dance competition, MassKareppin embodies the energy and unity of the Bacolodnons—bringing together creativity, rhythm, and the contagious joy of the festival season.
