The Cong. Francisco Benitez – Technological University of the Phils. Low Power Station is targeted to operate in 2021, at the TUP-V campus in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
With a financial aid of P1.5 million from Benitez, the TUP-V experts will put up a 10-watt low power frequency modulation station that will carry instructional and educational modules to students within a 10-20 km. radius, eight hours daily, Mondays to Fridays, a press release said.

The facility is also designed for hands-on laboratory study and emergency disaster preparedness and response system.
The donation was turned over yesterday in Talisay City to TUP-V campus director Eric Malooy by District Officer Paz Marie Valenciano to represent Benitez.
Also present were Dr. Leonor Validor, VP for Planning and Development, engineer Nelson Franco – assistant director for Research and Extension, Grace Delumpa – assistant director for Administration and Finance, and engineer Joshua Berja – assistant director for Academic Affairs.*
