The Leonardo Panaligan Command of the New People’s Army has claimed responsibility for the assassination of CAFGU member Joselito Raboy on September 24 in Brgy. Montilla, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

Ka JB Regalado, in a statement he issued, accused Raboy as among the Army soldiers who allegedly killed Cristina Jacolbe and his daughter, Kee Ann, as well as Rodan Montero in Sitio Banderahan, Brgy. Trinidad, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental.

Regalado further linked Raboy and members of 62nd Infantry Battlion for the attempt to kill Boyet Cezar and Marjun Mahinay in Sitio Kambairan, also in Brgy. Trinidad, Guihulngan City, in previous months.

Raboy, who was off duty, was driving his motorcycle when waylaid and shot dead by suspected NPA hitmen, according to the military.

Regalado said the death of Raboy may serve as warning to others, not to allow themselves to be used by the military.*
