Four suspected New People’s Army rebels shot and killed an unarmed member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit on April 10 in Brgy. Sandayao, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental.
The victim identified as CAFGU member Jeger Flores, 29, who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot, according to 62nd Infantry Battalion.
Lt. Col. William Pesase Jr., 62IB commander, strongly condemned the killing of an unarmed government militiaman.
Pesase enjoined Sandayao barangay officials and residents to help them in identifying the perpetrators to give justice to the family of the victim.*
