Relief boxes distributed in Panay, Negros

Victims of Typhoon Carina received relief boxes from the Office of the Vice President through its Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office on August 2*

The Office of the Vice President conducted simultaneous relief operation in Panay and Negros Island, for those affected by the typhoon Carina on August 2, a press release from the OVP said.

The OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office has been conducting relief operations in the Municipality of Valladolid, Negros Occidental, Municipality of President Roxas, Capiz, and Municipality of Buruanga, Aklan, where 3,812 families have received relief boxes.

Each relief box contains hygiene kits, blankets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, slippers, expandable water jugs, and other needed necessities.

The relief operations were successfully carried out with the help of the municipalities of Valladolid, President Roxas, Buruanga LGUs, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO) and Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (LDRRMO).*
