Six police commissioned officers (PCOs) got new assignments as a result of a reshuffling at the Bacolod City Police Office, as ordered by P/Col. Joeresty Coronica, the BCPO director.
PMaj. Elmer Bonilla was designated as head of the BCPO Traffic Enforcement Unit. His vacated position as Police Station 4 chief is now occupied by P/Maj. Marc Joeil Reclamado.
P/Capt. Hazel Oropel, deputy commander of the BCPO Mobile Force Company, was designated as Police Station 5 chief, the position vacated by Reclamado.
P/Capt. Liberty Indiape was named officer-in-charge of the BCPO Women and Children Protection Desk. She was replaced by PLt. Meller Dionio, who is now the head of the BCPO Public Information Office .
PLt. Rowena Jean Magan was designated by Coronica as the deputy chief of Police Station 10.
Coronica presided over the simultaneous turnover and assumption of duties and responsibilities of the concerned PCOs at the BCPO conference room at Magsaysay Avenue in Bacolod City on July 2.
In his message, Coronica commended the outgoing station commanders and unit chiefs for their outstanding service and significant accomplishments, as he encouraged the newly designated officers to embrace their new roles with professionalism, dedication, and integrity.
“The reassignment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the overall performance of our personnel in the field. We place our people where they are most needed—where they can best contribute to the mission of ensuring peace, order, and public safety,” he stressed.
The reshuffling highlights BCPO’s commitment to adaptive leadership and continuous improvement in its law enforcement operations, ensuring that the right personnel are in place to meet the evolving needs of the community, Coronica said in a statement issued by the BCPO Public Information Office.*
