Riding in tandem killers struck again yesterday, as a victim was shot and killed along the Araneta highway in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City.
The victim, identified as Jerry Gasendo, 53, of Lizares Extension, Brgy. 40, Bacolod City, was declared dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, according to the police.
Gasendo succumbed to gunshot injuries in the head, a report of Police Station 8 to the Bacolod City Police Office, said.
Initial police investigations showed that the victim, was driving his Honda Genio scooter, traversing from a south to north direction along the highway, when he was shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman that was tailing him, on board another motorcycle.
Recovered from the scene of incident were two fired cartridges of a .45 caliber pistol.
The shooting incident is still being investigated by the BCPO Police Station 8.*
